Does Tauchring award swim badges?
No. Only an authorised examiner at the pool — for example from the DLRG, the Wasserwacht or a Schwimmverein — can award a Deutsches Schwimmabzeichen. Tauchring only tracks practice and records badges your child has already passed.
Is my data backed up anywhere?
Everything is stored only on your device. Tauchring has no account and no server, so there is nothing to back up online. If you use iCloud device backups, your Tauchring data is included in those like any other app.
How do I add a photo to a badge record?
Open a Urkunde and tap the photo panel, then choose "Take photo" or "From library". A device without a camera, such as the Simulator, opens the photo library instead.
Can I use Tauchring for more than one child?
Yes. Add as many children as your family needs from the Kinder tab — each keeps their own badge ladder, training log and certificates.
How do I reset or erase my data?
Go to Settings → Your data, where you can clear the example family or erase everything Tauchring has stored on this device.
